What we check
Every plumber sent to your home has shown a current California C-36 license and proof of insurance. Licenses can lapse, so check the number yourself at cslb.ca.gov when your plumber arrives, which takes about a minute.
What we write about
The guides on this site are written for older homes around Whittier. In those houses, old galvanized pipe, clay sewer lines and concrete slabs cause most of the trouble. Where a guide cites a local rule, such as sewer lateral ownership or a permit requirement, it links to the city or county source so you can check it yourself.
